It's only been a couple months since the discovery and Alex's life is already finding itself turning into a flaming dumpster fire. Not only does he have to deal with finding a doorway into a populated island that will lead to where these new gods have been trapped for millennia, but he has to do it while trying to protect the people he's promised himself to protect and appease the gods he already believes in.
